I assume something User Preferences, but just wondering if anyone knows the real answer.

A long time ago I was told that "zup" meant "user" in Danish. I have no idea if that is really true or not.0

I think, zup is a acronym for Setup (loudspeaking).
In the zup-File Navision (MS Dynamics NAV) stores the Positions of the application windows, filters, columns ...

I'm glad someone cleared that up. I had always wondered if that was true. At the time it seemed like the Navision employee that said it was BSing their way through an answer. I had just heard it a few time. I guess it sounded like a good answer so it just spread.0

That is the case - the "Z" is pronounced as a UK English "Z" (as opposed to the more soft US English without the "t" sound) and therefore it becomes Z(et)up . . . .
Always fun with a little NAV trivia . . . .
