Hey ,

Anybody out there that knows anything about the Run as Service function on codeunits in the next version of Navision?

We are especially interested if it is possbile to start using multi - threading to Navision Business logic.
We are building web services (as i am sure a lot of you are) and as for future planning and design this is most interesting to know what is going on and what we can expect....

some people who know about it cannot talk about it because of NDA.

So you are almost everybody in Navision community is in the same boat.

Instead of MS helping us and releasing info about how implement our vertical so that when 5.1 is released, you vertical solution would be ready. So customers that use your vertical can upgrade, would instead wait for your vertical to be upgraded and then upgrade.

    Same applies to new customers.

The new server is truely multithreaded including webservices (compared to the NAS which is a faceless NAV client process)

I hope this answers your question?

And yes we are interested in your feedback!

Thanks Michael for that public info directly from the hearth of NAV 8)

We never know what is under NDA or not and thus it is better that you answered
