hi all,

i want to run the system in which lot no should be automatically taken
on the basis of FIFO.
i mean the LOT which has increaded inventory first should be dispatched first automatically.there is no need for selection LOT No from user at the time of dispatch.it always creates problem.

can it be done..

pls suggest

    But why do you need lot nos. if you dont require it at the time of shipment?

    Maybe the way their physical inventory work is by always sending the oldest items.

    @nrapendra
    You will need to code what you now do manually. Its will be a little hard to do since a lot is coded on the item tracking form, but none the less doable.

    Nrapendra,
    If you don't want to assign it at the time of the sale, please do not define it on the set up for sales tracking. It will be applied automatically on FIFO basis. But you need to prepare a report to identifing the applied entries against the sales shipment.

    if you dont want the user not to select lot nos manually at the time of dipatch, why did you intend to use LOT number? i think that lot numbers of items are used and selected manually to identify and claim which items will be outbounded physically... if you don't use item tracking, the system will already use FIFO method to apply outbound entries to the inbound entries, which is exactly the same way as you want.

    besides, i assume that you dont use lot tracking.. in this case, the system will aplly the outbound entry to the first inbound entry (no matter costig method).. i this case, however, if you are using Avarege costing method, cost chain will not work as expected.. this point must be argued detailed...

    If you want to use lot tracking while manufacturing but
    not in sale then in Item Tracking Code card do not tick on
    Lot Sales Tracking.
