Date and Field Length errors while restoring to SQL

After having searched the internet as thouroughly as I can, I'm asking your help about the following problem:

When restoring a native DB to SQL, I get 2 kinds of errors, which state the following:

1.

The EXAMPLE table contains  a field with a Code or Text value that is too large for the SQL Server Data Type...

2. I also get a bunch of errors concerning invalid dates; eg '01/01/0073',...

The problem is that the restore stops when finding an error. I have to correct the data, take a new backup and restore again. Pretty annoying :-).

Anyone has a solution/tool for this?

1) Follow the upgrade documentation for correct steps to migrate Native to SQL
2) Part of the upgrade toolkit are the migration objects, which will check all date fields and will correct them in your DB before you create the backup.
3) How long you have the fields in your Native DB? (the problematic fields)

1. I'm following these.
2. I found the tool (=fob), thx for the tip.
3. This was a specific error, the restore tried to put a field of 25 chrs in a SQL VARCHAR(20), which will obviously never work...

This is on you- you need to edit the Subject of the first post and add the [SOLVED] prefix in it... 8)
