Auto show Navigation Pane on Navision Startup

Does anyone know if there is a way to automatically show the Navigation Pane when Navision is launched?

I thought it automatically starts when you open a company.
I'm guessing you want to open it before the company is opened?

If...

There is only 1 company in the database

AND

A shortcut is used to automatically start Navision with the company

AND

The end user has the Navigation Pane hidden when they close Navision

THEN...

The next time they open Navision the Navigation Pane will be hidden.

*** For a regular PC user this really isn't a big deal. You can just show the Navigation pane from the VIEW menu. But in our situation, we are using touch-screen PCs. So having to use your finger to click VIEW-->Navigation Pane, is a major pain ](*,) I'm hoping someone knows of a shortcut parameter that will automatically show the Navigation Pane.

Well you could try windows scripting host keystrokes sending from codeunit 1 - there is an automation for it but I don't know which one but there are many examples on the forum - but how do you know it's hidden?...

I thought about what you are suggesting, but ran into the same problem. How do you know the current state of the Navigation Pane. Apparently the ZUP file knows this information???

probably a stupid workaround but... generate a second company!

Probably an even worse workaround but... assuming that users do have a keyboard as using onscreen keyboards is pain, just telling them to use Alt- F1?

Another solution, in CU 1 on open company add code to open a form with a button, when they click on it. run keyboard script Alt+F1.
