Hi,

I've been looking for hours now and still didn't find why this textbox doesn't support multiline... It's a textbox where we want to store conversations...

Can anyone give me a solution for this freakin' problem?!

Grtz and thanks alot!

Stop looking. Multilines are for labels. You need to make a textbox pr line.

And looking at that link, what exactly are you trying to make? Is that a form?

Yes, it's a form. The meaning is to make a form with a conversation of a user. So if a user types in a conversation in the textbox it can be stored in the database when he clicks 'save'..

So it isn't possible at all to make a textbox multiline..?

All for free, so this is not advertising

Yes, I've just found it myself today that while there is a multiline property for textboxes it does not freakin' do ANYTHING. Forget it, use the download or break it into separate lines by code.

But generally the easiest way to go is having a subtable just like f.e. comments on Items. Not very nice but works.

    Well,
multiline textboxes wouldn't be very convenient anyway, imho.

When you want to put a lot of text in a text box, and you want to print it, you'll have to reserve a lot of space on your report (probably also multiline). This usually results in nasty reports.
