New Security Roles

hi

the database login at the Point of sales is using "windows authentication with Database server " and the windows user account is "POS",In the Beginning We had given "SUPER" privelage to "POS" but now we have identified the exact new roles(total of 3 roles) and permissions to give to "POS".

what would be the best practice and procedure to do this security update at every POS connected with Head Office

    Don't exactly understand your problem.

    Just delete the super-role, attach the all-role and the rest of your specific roles ... :-k

    the problem is that POS in LS retail are on different computers, and he has to use replication.

    I would create a subjob for permission, and member of table. Make sure in Permission table you filter Role ID <> 'SUPER'

    You cannot change the supper role. So do not try to replicate those records.
