Formula Field

Dear all,

Is it possible to use formula field ?
I have 3 fields, which the first and second is flowfield (lookup),
and the third field is the formula field,
which would be the result : first field - second field.

Is there any tricks to do this ? Since the first and second field are dynamic field, I can't just calculate and insert the third field on insert trigger.

    You need to calculate this field on-the-fly.
    Best way:
    Create a function in the table and put in it the calculation. For your case it seems overkill to make a function, but if you later change your formula, you just have to change your function and everywhere it is used, you don't need to do anything.
    Function in your table:
    CalculateSomeField : DECIMAL 
    IF "Flowfield1" = 0 THEN
  CALCFIELDS(Flowfield1); // if you already have a value, no need to recalculate
IF "Flowfield2" = 0 THEN
  CALCFIELDS(Flowfield2); // if you already have a value, no need to recalculate
EXIT(Flowfield2 - Flowfield1);

    No on your form, you can put in the sourceexpression of your 3rd field a call to the function SourceExpression=CalculateSomeField().
    And that is it.
