Reporting issue

Dear All
I have made several reports which are to be printed on Pre Printed formats given by client now u iamfacing a lot of problem tofix the data in the boxes in the pre printed formatsometimes it goes up and sometimes it goes down, plz guide me if anyone has an idea?

    Hi, I had the same troubles.

    What I did was to setup the printer in Windows to use the correct paper size. (Control Panel --> Printers and Faxes --> File --> Server Properties)

    Then the "Use System Printer" parameter of the report must be the default <Yes>.

    If you use a dot matrix printer, remember your margins begin at the perforated marks.
    Measurements must be exact.

    Remove sections that won't print or set CurrReport.showoutput(FALSE). DO NOT DECREASE IT'S SIZE TO 0, it makes small spaces.

    I had a problem recently, that from the 20th page on, it starts to creep!

    but still i can't find file server properties in Control Panel>> Printers & Faxes >> so plz tell me whr i can find that

    Either from the menu bar, or right click somewhere in the Printers and Faxes window. That is, if you are using Windows XP? Im not too sure about other Windows Releases. The Server Properties is so that you can specify new paper sizes. You must then assign those paper sizes to your printer. Also ensure that you have the correct drivers installed.

    Hm. would that be the same of changing the default A4?

    Becase i can't seem to find a place to attach the new chema that i created to the printer so it can print that size as well..

    On the printers i worked with:
    * View the properties of the printer
    * Device settings tab
    * Assign the paper size to the correct tray (mine had -> "Manual paper feed", "Sheet feeder - bin1", "Sheet feeder - bin2", "tractor feed")

    On some, I had to click the "Printing Preferences" button on the general tab, Click the Advanced button on the layout tab, and set the paper size there.

    Unforunately most printers differ in the setup screens, so you'll have to play around to get to it sometimes.

    I have a case where the printer does not save the paper size no matter what I do. The user has to set the paper size manually each time from the printing dialog box.

    Hmm.. on that list i don't see the new paper schema i created.

    Any idea on how i can get it into the list? Seems it only the paper sized schema that are in the driver #-o

    Just to be 100% sure, On the Server Properties window, Forms tab:
    1. You selected the "create a new form" checkbox and then
    2. After specifying the size and margins you clicked the "Save Form" button?

    Unfortunately, this should be done per PC when the printer is on a print server. If I remember correctly I had to do it when it was a shared printer on a LAN aswell...

    Thanks.. i had to log on as the administrator on the printer server.
