Initial Inventory Unit Cost with WMS

](*,) I am new in using Warehouse Management System with Navision,
Got problems when transferring beginning inventory (qty and unit cost) from legacy system at the beginning of the project, If we arent usng WMS, we can use Item Journal to set them up ( qty + unit cost ), with WMS ? ??????? does anyone can do me a favour ?

with wms you need to load the initial inventory into warehouse journal. THen in Item journal run Function->calc whs. Adjustment.

This will create the item journals. The cost comes from Item card Last Direct Cost I believe, depends on costing method. SO you need to fill that field on item card. Once the item journal is field in, you can clear the last direct cost from item card. Then post the journal.

You could write a dataport that would update the unit cost on journal as well that way you don't have to change the item card, but you can't do it for certain costing method.

The WHM has nothing to do with the cost of the item. It only concerns with the quantity stored in the bins.

So using the item journal will not affect the quantities in the bins.
