Retrieve Filter Value

Quick question.

What's the syntax for retrieving the filter criteria that was chosen for a specific field in a dataport/report/etc..?

    Look for GETFILTER in the help.

    Downloading the quick reference here in the downloads is also useful.

    I hope, that this is what you mean:

    GETFILTER (FieldRef)

    for example

    myTextVar := "myFilteredTableField".GETFILTER;

    it returns the string as the filter was set before, like it does when the
    filter has been set on the record variable.

    And don't forget, if necessary, to select the correct FILTERGROUP.

    It is - Thanks.

    I was trying to call CurrDataport.GETFILTER (which would make perfect sense to me... I would think that GETFILTER would be a member of the dataport object...) and it was yelling at me.
