Hi, we have problem where on one machine (and one machine only) where printing of purchase order will skip lines for comments.
We've updated the printer driver, however, that didn't seem to solve the problem.
Can anyone else suggest where we should tackle next?

Reading wierd things like sounds definitely like a printer driver issue. Install generic printer driver, Install old printer drivers. Install for the same manufacturer but different model.0

It could also be filter set up for that user, I have had it happen, where a filter was set on the line table and those items did not post0
-
Yeah, it's more likely.0
-
to remove the default filters that are stored in the zup file, Recompile the report. That should remove any filters he or she has put from a while back when she wanted to print certain lines.0

The filter is actually the first thing we checked. However, that computer does not have any filters setup on that report.
I will ask them to change and update their printer driver. Keep you guys updated.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

check your report, the actual field in the report may be set just slightly off the margin, and you comments are printing outside the margin and not showing, but your regular lines aren't as many characters and so they don't reach the out of margin area, hope this makes since,
anyway try to make sure the description field is setup properly in the report, it should be double line height. And multiline0 -
We recently upgraded to SP2 running NAV 4.0 and are experiencing a similar problem. On some computers, not all, when trying to print a purchase order each line is transferred to a new page. Any suggestions on how to fix this?0

Also, the Navision Help does not work on the computers that have the print issue...0
-
Did you try to reinstall Navisioni on those computers?0
-
yes, but the problem remained0
-
So basically when you print the same PO number on two computers, you get different results? Are you printing to the same printer? Do you have the same printer version installed? Try to reinstall the printers.0

The problem doesn't seem to be printer related as the computers with the problem maintain the problem no matter which printer is used. At the same time, the computers that are working fine do not have a problem on these same printers. Plus the fact that the help menu is not functional and now accounting is noticing issues when they are trying to print checks as well (numbers not appearing where they should). Again, all of this happened when we upgraded to SP2.0

Your help problem is probably caused by using Minimum Installation when you installed the Navision client on that computer.
Update to this day, we still have not found a solution to the printer problem. It's not the printer or the printer driver. It seems specific to the computer. Very odd problem.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog
