Poblems in Opening Database

Good Day!

Can somebody help me resolve this paticular problem I just encountered regarding opening a particular database? You see, I was using my test database, which was housed on an external hard disk. Unfortunately, while i was doing some processing, connection was cut-off to my external disk (power got disconnected in my external hard disk).

While I was trying to reopen my database, this particular message came about.....

"Other concurrent activities have reused the available space in the database that contained your snapshot of data. This can occur in connection with time-consuming tasks such as printing or making backups. Wait until there are fewer concurrent updates of the database and try again.

If this occurs often, you should create more available space in the database. You can create more space in the database by:

* Expanding the database.
* Deleting unnecessary data.
* Date compressing older, non-current entries.
* Optimizing the Database"

1st: My database was 17GB but I was just utilizing about 12GB only.
2nd: While I was running this database, there's another database, which was locally situated in my unit, also running.

Hope someone can help me with this.

It looks like a corrupted db. Did you try restarting the computer that had the db?

Yes, I already did that and I still encountered the same results. What I'm trying to do now, is to copy the database in another location. I'll see if that will result to something good.

Also try to upgrade the database with another executable. It's worth a shot.

Or you can try to open the DB as readonly and create backup.
