Is there a DOS command to remove (or rename) the blank spaces in the filenames within a directory?

Yeah... I know about the freewares that will allow you to do that. I was thinking more along the lines being able to do this without having to install any additional programs.
I've googled quite a bit regarding this... ](*,)Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

I found a command in UNIX called SED that sort of does this... But I guess there's nothing compareable in DOS.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

Sure there is a SED for DOS.
I worked 13 years ago with it.
try this: http://www.faqs.org/faqs/editor-faq/sed/
But with SED you cannot remove blank spaces in the filenames within a directory.
SED is a batch editor with regular expressions to change/substitude/delete terms in multiple text files automatically.
