Removing blank spaces in filenames

Is there a DOS command to remove (or rename) the blank spaces in the filenames within a directory?

Yeah... I know about the freewares that will allow you to do that. I was thinking more along the lines being able to do this without having to install any additional programs.

I've googled quite a bit regarding this... ](*,)

You can use Navision to do it if you already have Navision installed.

Na, I have used this program in the past to clean up my mp3 filenames.

I found a command in UNIX called SED that sort of does this... But I guess there's nothing compareable in DOS.

Sure there is a SED for DOS.
I worked 13 years ago with it.

But with SED you cannot remove blank spaces in the filenames within a directory.

SED is a batch editor with regular expressions to change/substitude/delete terms in multiple text files automatically.
