You can try not to install the SQL thingy if you don't need it.
But what you realdy should to is find out why your system does not start the service.

The let's hope someone on MiBuSo does [-o<
I unfortunately don't
Have you tried MSDN
http://search.microsoft.com/search/resu ... rror+1920+0 -
1) NA 4.00 has problem that the MSDE is installed whatever you select...
2) If you do not select to install MSDE and you have MSDE or MS SQL installed before, Navision will try to run it. If there is some problem, you will be not able to install Navision (for example when you have Evaluation version with expired period)
3) Solution - uninstall all previous versions of MSDE and MS SQL. Install Navision... if it does not help, you need remove the source of problems with running MSDE...0 -
I am also getting this error when installing Navision 4.0 SP1 on Windows 2003 SP1. The install runs to the point of "starting the navision service please wait...". Then I get error 1920 you do not have permission to start the service. The service shows under services. But I am unable to start. Does anyone have any new ideas on this?0

Hi,
There is also an issue for SQL2005 for Navision 4.0. Tried to install the hotfixs and SP1 does not help. Wonder Microsoft will do somthing on this.0 -
I ran into a similar problem when I tried to install a Financial 2.60 server on a 2003 server sp2. I called microsoft, since I had a virtual PC with 2003 sp1 where the installation worked, but after loading sp2 the installation stopped working. The answer I got from microsoft was that their support for Financials 2.60 expired 2005-12-31, so they were not going to help me.
However I found a way to get the installation working in the following way: Choose Adm tools->Local Security Policy. Right click on Software restriction Policies and choose New software restriction Policy.
After that the installation worked.
