Why I can't get Visual Studio 2017 to work with NAV 2017 ?

HoriaHoria Member Posts: 11
I'm in design mode in a report in NAV 2017,
when I want to go into RDLC mode by clicking View -> Layout, then NAV gives me this error :

Microsoft Dynamics NAV Development Environment
An error occurred when opening the report designer. A supported version of Visual Studio could not be found.
OK

I've got Visual Studio 2017 freshly installed.

Why am I getting this error while I can fire up manuall Visual Studio 2017.

Thank you in advance for your insights.

This will help (maybe  )

    EDIT:
    I just noticed you're using NAV 2017. I believe NAV 2017 supports VS2015 only, not VS2017.
So use VS2015 or Report Builder as already suggested.
