Hi
Can anyone help me with this? Is there any functionality in Microsoft Dynamics Nav 2016 which helps in giving suggestions on purchasing quantity of goods (variable on periodic basis)? For example if I have a recurring purchase which has to be processed on weekly basis; based on the demand I have to order large quantity on the first week which is followed by lower quantities in the coming weeks. I should get a system suggestion on the quantities to be ordered based on the sales and demand for the period.
Regards,

Yes, NAV has a very good planning system, you can use the Planning Worksheet or Order Planning. You can it some more about it here...

As Kishorm mentions NAV has a great planning/replenishment system.
It sound to me, that you specifically need to look at the Lot-For-Lot reordering policy.1
