Add New Lookup Field to Item Card Page

I can't seem to find the exact answer to this, so here goes. I created a new field in the Item table titled "Work Code". I added the field to the Item card. I set the Source Expression to DATABASE::"Work Type" (I didn't know how else to select that table) with the TableRelation/Table to "Work Type". Once I compile and run the Item card, "Work Code" shows as a caption, but in the control, it just shows the table number (200) which is a lookup field, but I unable to select a Work Code from the list and keep it on the Item Card. The "Work Type" table does have a "DropDown" entry.

You have to define Table relation for Work Code in Item Table.
Check field Item in Item Journal Line table (83) to know how table relation is defined.6 -
You should also set the source expression on the page field to just "work code"
EDIT: should have said "work code" not "work type" - corrected5 -
You should define "Table relation" property for that field in Item table..5
