The used nav service account needs the right to be Run as a Service, also full Access to the database.best regards

Hi,
I have installed DEV environment only. Now I want to add the Server bits - so I do not have the NAV 2017 Administration console yet. I don't have the NST server binaries in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\100\Service, in fact I don't even have C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\100 folder.
I am trying to install (add to existing installation) the Server component. The problem is that installer rolls back the installation if freshly installed NST service don't start. I'd like to be able to have the installer to install the binaries, powershell cmdlets, etc, and leave this alone for me to configure it at some later point.
At the moment it looks it is all or nothing game - either everything is installed up to the point where freshly installed service starts - or the whole installation is rolled back entirely - so I cannot apply the CU or modify configuration before starting up the service.
I'd like to know how to prevent the installer from rolling back the server component.
