Dear experts,
have anyone ever encountered NAV system used by 500users in 1 nav instance? currently one of my clients are evaluating if they should go with nav or move fwd to ax or SAP
in functionality wise, i believe nav is enough. but there are major concern in performance wise because i have heard a lot that NAV performance will greatly slowdown with more than 250 concurrent users and around 50k-80k sales orders handled daily.
this company i'm talking about have 400 sites which process purchase receipt / transfer orders / daily cash transaction around 10-100 transaction per day. they also process 200-300 sales invoices per day with inventory using batch number.
also in the head office they have 40 staff do the finance/accounting process.
i wonder if NAV 2016 (2017 ?) are really capable for this kind of company?
any opinion/comment are welcomed.
regards,-

Hi,
With standard setup you can't achieve this kind of load but isn't impossible.
For instance 300 invoices per day are in average 1 invoice every 90 second in 8 hours.
This is not impossible but is very different to have
- 1 invoice with 1 line (lowest processing time)
- 1 invoice with 1000 lines
- 1000 invoices with 1 line (longest processing time)
I suggest to discuss the features needed and business scenarios with your local partner to ensure if its feasible or not. Giving another example, using WMS with this kind of load is not recommended at all.
Regards and good luck,

Nav wasn't built to handle that many users/transactions.0
