Approval workflows

in NAV Three Tier
Hi, I would like to setup the following in the approval workflow options, but cannot seem to figure this out.

We have 5 users, all 5 users can create journals, but only 3 of those users can approve the journals. So the users creating the journals can also approve journals, but not their own.

Example: User 1 creates the journal, either user 2 or 3 must approve, or user 2 creates the journal, either user 1 or 3 can approve etc. If user 4 or 5 create the journal, then either user 1, 2, or 3 can approve.

Can the workflow be setup this way? If not, do any of you know of a modification that accommodates this scenario?

    No this is not possible in standard NAV. You could achieve this by making modifications but first you'd need to think about how to identify who "creates the journal" as journal batches are usually only created once and then reused (unless they have a numeric suffix). It's usually only the lines on the batch that are created for each journal and its possible for several users to create lines on the same batch/journal.
