Web client Vs Windows client

Under what circumstances would you recommend a user to use a web client other than a windows client?

    Overview - Web Client is something which will run Independently like a URL and from anywhere toy can access. Windows client is the authentication type where User is supposed to have the Physical access and are authenticated from there windows account.

    Thank you for your response. however, with windows client i meant the Role Tailored Client (RTC) but not the windows authentication method.

    What advantages does a web client provide over a windows client (RTC)?

    when the users does not have access to the system..
    the web client is for people who have particular set of transactions fixed,that is their roles...but it is not that user-friendly

    the end of the windows-Client will be the end of the time that our Company will use NAV. every Version they try to get rid of Features and then the bring them back as "new Features" are they kidding us?
