Hi All,

Subject : when we run the item revaluation and Posting For open entries,it is Running for 13.3 Hrs.

We Facing a challenge During Item Revaluation and Posting.

According to our investigation,Total open entries Count in Item Ledger entries for all the Items is 88,000.

So Nav is processing 110 lines Per minute.

Database Specifications:

Nav 2013 R2, SQL Server 2014 Enterprise,Running on 64GB

As our Database size is 400 GB

where ILE Contribute's 8.3GB,Value Entry 14 GB,Item Application Entry 3.4 GB Respectively.

ILE Row Count is 16 Million ,VE Row Count is 17 Million ,ItemAppEntry Row count is 23 Million.

Actions taken:

SQl Profiler & Nav Profiler :

We Run Sql Profiling during this process,There is no recommendation at the end.We checked the Sql Indexes and Nav Keys,Which is Already Optimized and we noticed SQL Select Queries are Consuming more time.

Already SQL Side we taken care of creating Auto Create,Update & Group Statistics.Rebuilding indexes and Defragmentation.

Questions:

Customer not happy waiting for 14Hrs and hold the regular Transaction Posting, is there any way to reduce the time.?

Customer is using Finance, Sales, Purchase, Inventory Processes only not manufacturing. And in our database in ILE table every month 1.8 Million new record's are Adding up,Database is increasing at a rate of 30GB per Month due to heavy transactions on transfer Order and Item Reclassification.

Anybody Please Advise

Thanks In Advance.

Prasad.

We are running Item Revaluation for those Items having Costing Method as Standard cost and posting the Revaluation Journal. Total Item count is 600+ out of which 200 items we are doing standard cost revaluation.
we set "Automatic Cost Adjustment" to False,Every Night we are running two Job Queue for "Adj Cost Item Entries" and "Post Cost to G/L",These job's take 6 hrs to complete.
