Jobs Item Consumption Posting

Dear All,

I have got a client which extensively uses Jobs, and within the jobs consumes items. The issue is that the postings are reflected into the financial entries into the Inventory Adjustment Account. The issue is that the stock consumed by the job is posted to the same account where stock adjustments are posted, and we would like to have them separated.

Did you manage to sort this out, or is there any setup which I may be missing?

    Is it an option to use a Reason Code? If you connect the Reason Code to a Business Posting Group you can populate a different G/L Account to the Inventory Adjustment Account.

    Agreed. Our only concern is that the user must bear i mind that the Gen. Prod. Posting Group is to be changed for every journal. I would have expected a different kind of posting similar to the consumption in the manufacturing.

    Reason Code are not really an option as the end result would mean an incorrect Inventory Account as it would have entries which are not to be posted there in the first place.
