Hi folks,
Just wanted to drop in and tell you guys about a book that I've been working on for the past few months. The title of the book is called Getting Started with Dynamics NAV 2013 Application Development and it's aim is to teach end users and beginners about developing in Dynamics NAV 2013.
You can read more about it here:

Hi Alex,
I am happy to provide my support by buying your book (the bundle) from PackT.
I have flipped through the pdf version and I would recommend it to any new NAV customer - even the non-developers.
I have read complaints about the "terrible" report designer, but as your book points out, simple reports do not take much development skill.
You have done a great job, and I hope the NAV community will make it a standard for beginners. :thumbsup:David Machanick

Congrats on the book.
I just looked over the preview.
I like the how essential elements are quickly introduced along with screenshot, this is great.
Overview of the critical parts of the system is exactly what the beginning Developer needs.
I also like that you reuse terminology from the exams, like referering to tables as Master, Transactional etc.Best regards / Venlig hilsen

This is a good one guys, it's just like Alex is in the room with you and explaining everything in normal English. I agree that this is useful for everyone, including non-developers, to learn to understand the basics of NAV development. A real no-nonsense, direct approach to the material.
The book actually ties in great with Dave and Chris Studebaker's new development book, which goes into more detail. Read Alex's book first and move on to the Studebakers' book.0 -
I mentioned this on my blog, but I want to say it again. A big thanks to Daniel for keeping me honest with the content. :thumbsup:Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog
