    Hi, this looks like a really great product I am just having some trouble with the Trial version on my machine.

    I am using an SQL 2008 R2 Express Backed installation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 200 R2, following the initalization instructions once I get to the 'Update C/AL History' step I keep getting an error message.


    When attempting to update C/AL History or Export Object -> Export as Text I get the generic error message. Checking the Temp working directory I notice that the export file is successfully created.

    If I use one of the alternate methods of exporting objects such as exporting to a specific version I get a different error message, "String was not recognized as a valid TimeSpan".


    I do have a valid developer license and I am able to export to text directly from object designer, which are able to be imported. When I import these objects I note that the C/AL History does not seem to update. I am running as an administrator, and have attempted it on two different computers, both running Windows 7.

    Thanks for making such an interesting product, I look forward to being able to try out some of the features that depend on the 'C/AL History'

    I am having the same issue with the paid version of the product. I did not have this problem with the trial.

    I can not update C/AL History because I am unable to export objects as text via the Object Explorer. I can do it fine through the native Object Designer... I do have a developers license as well...

    Hello,

    I am trying to install the trial version, but the error pops up while executing "Object Manager Setup 5.0.1.exe" after i push "Instal" in the setup and the proccess bar jumps at about 70%.
    It say "IDYN.Utils.Register.ComComponent" "stopped working"

    Hi,

    we have the Advanced v9.00 BETA Version.

    We have a lot of problems with the file management in NAV2013 with OMA9. When there is a newer version of OMA9?

    Hi,
    I got this error when opening the OM - Setup card.
    I confirm you that I installed the "OMA8.5.3 NAV2009 R2 trial till 2013-05-15.fob" onto our db.

    Can you help please?

    The OMA checks if there is an object with the a modify date after the trial period.
    Do you have an object with a date greater than 15-5?

    Nope I don't have!
    That's strange... on a Cronus DB it works, but not on our DB.

    Hi,

    Is there a possibility to also check the Options?
    Because in the Object Manager they are not shown as a Calculated Caption.
    This would be a nice feature for all developers (and translators).
    You can set all the captions right except for the Options.

    You're right, the translation of options is not working anymore.
    Same for the tab names.

    We will fix it in the next release!

    Hi,
    Is there a install manual for 2013 R2.

    I am trying to setup the Object Manager in a NAV 2013 R2 development enviroment.
    When I try to update the History, I get an error that it can't find the File ](*,).
    I have debugged and found out, that in codeunit 11102046, in the function ExecuteCommand it fails when trying to process the Command.
    'ExportObjects ....file=D:\OMA\Page 5008.txt, filter="Type=Page;ID=50008"........

    In out eviroment we have 2 servers :
    - SQL server
    - Development server

    The NAV server service runs using a user "nstsvc"
    This user has DBOwner permissions for the NAV database
    I have DBOwner permissionss for the NAV database

    What can be wrong ?

    Having the same issue kjboloe had. ](*,) kjboloe, how did you solve it? Here's the results of the "Check Settings". My Working Dir F:\Temp. I tested with multiple working dir's and security settings. I also debugged and it seems to be looping endlessly when moving the test file to the working dir. Version Advanced 9.02 (RC 2013-11-01)

    Hi Jon

    My problem was that the NAV client was installed on the D drive, so when I changed the location of the Client everything works fine :-)
    I checked the SQL database, to insure that I was a DB Owner for the NAV Database.

    Hope that you will get it to work, it is an amazing product \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

    Issue still not resolved.

    I have NAV installed on the C drive. I've tried various locations for the working dir including the default and still having the issue. This issue is only on one machine. I've installed it on several other machines without failure.

    This is a hard part to find out what’s wrong. The OMA uses the command line feature to import an object in text format.
    (let’s all pray that the IMPORT- and EXPORTOBJECTS commands are coming back in the next release!!)

    It’s the following piece of code in codeunit 11102046 - OM - Object Management: 
    Process := Process.Start(Setup."Compiler (Finsql on Server)", Command);

    The result file is not created in your case, but why? The only way to find out is to open a RDP on the service tier and do the same command in a DOS box…
