Importing Stock Take Figures from Excel to NAV

A stock was carried out and captured in Excel because there are many stock items so printing Stock Take Sheets was going to be a difficult task. Now i want to import the figures into the the Phys. Inventory Journal I get the error:

“Phys. Inventory must be Yes in Item Journal Line Journal Template Name=’PHYS . INV.’,Journal Batch Name=’DEFAULT’,Line No.=’0’

There has to be a way to import stock take figures from Excel to NAV, Please assist i may be missing out something.

Have you tried using the item journal instead of the phys inv journal?

You have to vaildate the fields while importing in the same order as if you were manually entering it.
