Automatic Cost Adjustment

I have read various postings on the Automatic Cost Adjustments but wondered if anyone was able to tell me why when posting sometimes the Adjusting value entries... screen appears and sometimes it doesn't. I have 2 items which both require a cost value adjustment and both create one but this screen only appears when posting 1 of the 2.
The item that does cause the screen to appear had a large Inventory Value brought forward at take-on and this stock is still being used. I had thought that this issue may be related to that and that the Automatic Cost Adjustment method may have been changed since take-on but I have tried to recreate this and cannot. If I sell all these items and purchase new, it still brings up the screen for this item. ](*,)
I have attached the screen i am referring to. If anyone could also explain what the Adjmt Level and Cost FW Level are I would very much appreciate it.

Take a look at CU5895: When automatic cost adjustment is running the window is at first not opened. But later, when cost adjustment takes longer than 1 second, the window is opened.Frank Dickschat

Don't try to look at the code and figure out what's going on. Have you looked at the Help? It does a pretty good job of explaining what it does.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

Thank you for your update, I have looked at the help but it doesnt explain why sometimes this Adjusting value entries appears and sometimes it doesn't. If it only appears when the cost adjustment takes longer than 1 second, then why do some take longer than others?
Another thing I could find in the help is what the Adjmt Level and Cost FW Levels are but if you could guide me to where this is I would be grateful.

Adjst. Level . Adjust cost runs through items that are not adjusted. If you have Manufacturing company for example and certain Items are not adjusted on first run through the adjust cost. Adjust cost will loop through those items again. Thus the Adjustment Level is incremented.
Cost Fw .Level displays the level for cost forwarded to to Outbound Entries like sale , consumption , negative , Transfer entries0
