Regarding inclusion of additional language

Hi friends,

Suppose, we have multiple companies in our database and if one company should use German as a default language, then what can be done. We should purchase German Language Pack or we have some other option?

    You will need to purchase a language granule fro DEU. You need to install the language pack for the client and you need to import the captions into your DB. Additionally you will need to translate everything you have added on top of the std. functionality.

    Hi Frank,

    Thanks for your reply. I would also like to know whether this change in language will be applicable for the customized screens, reports, data etc also. Or this will be applicable only to the default Objects.

    You can use Pers Mergetool to help you translate everything where a DEU caption is missing:

    I have to admit though that you need to think in circles to understand how the tool works. But once you do it is really a great tool. :mrgreen:
