Why do RTC filters become uneditable?

When I add the Dispatch Board to the Role Center the filters become uneditable.
When I run the Dispatch Board through the Deparment menu the filters are active.
The same thing happens with other filtered pages.
Anybody know what's the deal? :-k

    Because Microsoft write crap code? :whistle:

    I think the official response will be something to do with a role centre being the place where you can see all your work not where you do all your work so the parts you put on there must be readonly. Microsoft are very good at missing the point. :roll:
