Hi
i have problem with my database. Everytime I try to expand it and open again, in one second it makes full again.
How can I check witch function makes that strange thing? (number of records in tables are correct)

This is strange.
Could you put some more info on what version you are on. SQL or natvie db?
What steps do u take to expand the db?0 -
I would stop any processing on the database before trying to expand it again.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

NAV 5.0 SP1 PL, native
We crateded a copy of .fdb file and on our local computers problem still appear.
Steps:
1. We open the database
2. Expand it
3. Now database works quite fine ( we have some problems with keys in tables, but db size not increasing)
4. We close database
5. Open it again and get error about reaching space limit
We work on local copies so all processes are stopped.Alex Chow wrote:I would stop any processing on the database before trying to expand it again.
Thanks in advance for any help

Are you sure there aren't any processes that automatically start? Database does not expand by itself.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

This is a recurring bug in Navision. But it only happens on certain versions.
You need to switch the DB to read only and create a full backup. Then upgrade your executable to a later version. Check Waldo's blog to see what version you can upgrade to. You will want to find a version that made changes to the Native client (fin.exe). Now restore the database.
The error you had most likely came from a network error of some kind, so you also need to do a complete check of the network and alook for bad network cars, switches or cables. Its very important that you get this bit sorted.David Singleton0 -
By the way, don't forget search, this bug has been discussed time and time again.
