I am trying to renumber a report 50050 to 10094
I have deleted the report object 10094 and stored an original backup.
The system is giving me a permissions error. What can be the reason.
Apologize for my newbness. :-) in object licensing

re-import the old object.
export the new report as text.
in the text file rename the object to 10094 and import it.
Then recompile.David Singleton0 -
Thank you, it worked.
Just out of curiosity is this a problem with version 5 or before or exists in NAV 2009 also.
If so why?0 -
What makes you think it's a problem? It's the way that it works.
You don't have the license to create an object in that number range, but you DO have the license to modify it. Importing a non-existing object in text format is considered 'creating an object', importing a non-existing object in fob format is not. Once the object is there you're free to modify it to the extent of your license.0 -
You can create anything between 50,000 and 99,999 (once again assuming you are licensed for that particular ID). Below 50,000 is NAV base objects. You can modify those, but you can't make your own.0
