Unable to open NAV2009 RTC from home

Hi,

I have some strange things that happen. Whe I try to open RTC from the office, it works fine but as soon as I try to do the same from home it doesnt work at home.

Any idea/help on that will be appreciated.

Sounds like a problem with your VPN connection. Your IT department should be able to solve that one.

where is the server tier, where is the sql server?

Are all of them on you laptop?

If they are not, why would assume that it should work from home?

Yes that was the error message. I have try it again few minutes and now it's work. why???:-k

It has to do with Active directory. You can search the forum for this.

My workaround is to use Local IP Address 127.0.0.1 instead of computer name when connecting to the sql server.
