Hi,
I am working for an upgradation project, where I am ugrading from Nav 5.0 to Nav 6.0. The classic clients (Sql server option and Native database option) are working fine, but as and when I am trying to open the RTC, then it's throwing an error saying 'Error: object metadata does not exist. Identifcation fields and values: type = page, ID = 0'. When I am opening my pages in the object designer, then I could see a blank line, with a zero ID value. I have deleted the line, and next time when I am trying to open the roletailored client, it is throwing the same error and is getting closed.
Please let me know, if anyone is having any suggestion regarding this.
Thanks in advance.

Have you checked the field in File->alter->Option tab-> Entable for Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server?

    Hi Rashed,
Yep, I have seen the field. The field is checked only. The RTC is just showing 'Error in metadata. Identification field and values: Type = 'Page', Id = '0''. And after that the RTC is getting closed simply. Am I missing something?

Do you have Profile table populated and a default one checked for one of the records?

You have to enable the RTC through File --> Alter. Have a super user check your permissions. Once this is done you have to compile all of your objects to fill out the Object Metadata table.

    Hi Rashed,
no I dont have the profile table populated at all. The Pages is showing a 'Zero' id line; i have tried removing it. It's a blank line. The RTC is thinking that its really having some value and trying to open it, and eventually that error is coming. Somway, I have to stop the RTC to 'think that it's a real page'!

You need to populate the table with data from Cronus database.
copy and paste the data should work for the table.

Yeah, I also had to copy profile info from Cronus to build my test 2009 database. If there's not a default profile in the table or you're not assigned to a specific role the RTC won't know how to load properly.
