I have a problem with ODBC for 4.0 (Renamed to NODBC) When i try to connect to a database (server or client) and try to choose the company i get the error Error 2 in module 1. After that ODBC closes. Its on a Windows XP.

Has anyone tried it, and is it working?

Thanks

    Hi Kim

all module 1 errors are Windows errors and error 2 is specifically Cannot find file. I haven't even tried to get NODBC to work yet but I guess the first step is to make sure everything have the right file path and name.

    regards

    1 2 #Err_OS_FileNotFound (Module_OS,Err_Allowable( 2))

All errors in Navision module 1 relate to the operating system. Therefore if a Navision client reports an "Internal error XYZ in module 1", or if you find similar entries in the WinNT Event Log, you can get a full text of the error from the operating system.
If the error reported was e.g. "Internal error 2 in module 1",  you can from a command line use a command NET HELPMSG this way:

    C:\> NET HELPMSG 2

    Thanks.

The next problem is that the new ODBC driver dont ask for the program path, so it ´must be other files it cant access.

    Ill try again.

I have been able to connect to local 4.00 database when setup as a System or User DSN with the appropriate login and license.

What driver version are you using?
