Importing customer ledger balances from sage

Hi I want to import customer /vendor ledger entries from sage.
I have got the data out of sage.
Do I need to Import them data into Cust. Ledger Entry table (21) & vendor ledger entries table using data migration and then post them?

Please advice.

You import them to the General Journal Line table then post them.

you never import directly into ledgers, you always import into journals and let NAV post

By pushing them into an os pen journal you have to post the journal to get the transactions into the ledgers - this ensures all of the postings are correct and fields validated correctly, so you are not corrupting your starting point by forcing data in.
