On Navision 4 SP3
While a user is posting physical inventory all users are locked and all transactions can't be done until posting is finished.
do you know a mean to prevent this?
should I create a batch job to run it out of working hours.
Thanks for your help

Yes, batch job would be the way to go.0

I know that navision is using client server architecture where client work locally before table update at server level.
Is there any way to optimize this? to reduce table locking at its maximum?
batch job is nice I use it for average cost but posting cycle count should not interfere like this!
is this a well known weakness on version 4? Was it fixed in Navision 5 and greater?
please advice

The architecture is still the same. There has been performance improvements, but they are minor.
How is overall performance? Can you give us more info on hardware, sql/native? size of db? Any performance tweaks?0 -
Hi
I have to investigate on hardware configuration but users are lock only when PI is posting.
Thanks.Microsoft has its reason that the reason ignores0
