Create production order directly as released

From the planning worksheet you can create a PO as planned, firm planned, etc.
Are there any problems modifying this option with the "released" option. My customer now has to create the PO's first as firm planned. (1300 PO's take 1 hour to create) After this he changes the status to "released" (again 1 hour)
Seems to be a step they want to skip. Any hints or is this easy?

I've done it and it's easy to add the option released._____________________

Have you tried to use "Change Production Order Status" form?
Why you want to change status after you create? Released means you've started to produce. Usually you have firm planned for few days.0 -
ok, thx.
That form takes 1 hour to create 1000 PO's. I want to skip that form.0
