How can i create Accounts Schedules

Hi All,
can any one tell me how to create Account Schedules i inserted all accounts but i don't understand comparision date filter. we are using October to september as Accounting period.
so can any one tell me what i need to enter under comparision date filter and what is the use of this comparision date filter.

You need to create a column layout as well.
"Creating the Column Layout
We have now created the rows and only need to create the Column Layout that will contain the numerical information. In the columns it is defined which information from the lines you use, for example only debit amounts. Once you have created a column layout you can assign that layout as a default to any existing Account Schedule in the Account Schedule Names window."
You will find instructions in the Financial Management Manual.
Not sure what you mean with comparison date filter...0 -
If I understand your query properly.
U can the use comparision date filter in according to your views.
See for example
This month u posted some expenses to one account .( Account = 1222)
So the same way Last month u posted some expenses to the above account.
Like this u want to know the compariiosn between every month.
Then Define the Colum header / comparison Date filter
12 Months Ago / CM-12M
11 Months ago / CM-11M
10 Months Ago / CM-10M

Thanks for reply i tried with the following way by seeing your responce.
I want to see 2008 October expenses, in 2009 January. As per your respose i define the column lay out in the following way
October = -2M
November = -1M
December = 0
January = 1M
February = 2M
March =3M

September = 9M
But i did not get exact results so can you please clarify me..0 -
