You need to create a column layout as well.

    "Creating the Column Layout
We have now created the rows and only need to create the Column Layout that will contain the numerical information. In the columns it is defined which information from the lines you use, for example only debit amounts. Once you have created a column layout you can assign that layout as a default to any existing Account Schedule in the Account Schedule Names window."

You will find instructions in the Financial Management Manual.

Not sure what you mean with comparison date filter...

If I understand your query properly.
U can the use comparision date filter in according to your views.
    See for example

This month u posted some expenses to one account .( Account = 1222)
So the same way Last month u posted some expenses to the above account.

Like this u want to know the compariiosn between every month.

Then Define the Colum header / comparison Date filter

    12 Months Ago / CM-12M
    11 Months ago / CM-11M
    10 Months Ago / CM-10M
    .
    .
    1 Month Ago / CM-1M

I hoe this helpe to u.
