NAV 4.0 run on 4.01 Fin.exe

Hi all,

Just want to find out what will be the possible problems if we install NAV4.0 version and use the NAV 4.01 Fin.exe and Finsql.exe to run on it?

Not sure if this will create any other problem. I was told by the previous vendor who supporting this client is that it has something to do on the printing issue.

Not that I'm aware of. You are recommended to use the latest executable with any database.

but not: your database would be converted to the new version. With older clients you can't use this database.

Also if you use the 4.03-er client, the indexhint will aut. enabled (search the forum for this) and you need a new traceflag for sql server (if you use 2005 (4616) and (4119) <-SQL2005 build 9.0.3200). But with 4.03 you can swith to the standard security level, so you doesn't need to synchrosize ...

if you use the native server, not tuning on serverside is needed. Open the DB with the new Clientversion -> convert the database -> enjoy NAV
