Quality specification!!!

Sorry folk, the "manual" I was talking was reading manual, which is not present to go through the reading manual.

I am testing the functionality but got stuck with the following:

In item master - Quality tab we have 2 fields - Spec ID & WIP Spec ID.

Is Spec ID for quality check for the item
& WIP Spec ID quality check for its WIP item? :-k

Now I am facing a problem in a situation....

Requirement 1:
After consuming RM I have to produce WIP.After that I have to quality check the WIP.

What I have done:
I created spec A, tagged it in routing & item of WIP ( In WIP Spec ID )

Problem:
After posting the outout journal, when WIP is under inspection, at that when we see the item master of WIP , the system is not showing that WIP is under inspection in the inventory.

Tell me where I have gone wrong in setting up the setup?

Requirement 2:
There ia another quality check for WIP before converting into FG in inventory.

Problem:
Now if we creat a Spec B, include in the routing of FG, what I need is the WIP item master should show item is under inspection in inventory. ](*,)

I think this has to be customised by adding one more field in the quality tab of the item master, showing "WIP 2 SPEC ID " like that.

If you have any other idea please bring forward..... O:)

For the WIP items we can't able to see the Status in the item card same as Purchase.
For the WIP we can see the status in the Production order Routing line.
There will be field Quantity send for Quality.

From the Routing line you can create the Report.

I think this is not possible because the situation is that if I had to check the WIP with 2 different quality specification then you cannot make it happen. Here also a customisation needed!!! :-k

The requirement has to be customised!!!!
