Invoice discounts

We are coming up to a period in our year that we ship and invoice our hotwater bottles.

Our Sales Director has come up with an incentive for our customers that is they were to take their hotwater bottle delivery in August they would receive a 3% discount on that invoice only.

This is sales order dependant not customer dependant, we may have other orders on Navision which would not qualify for this discount.

Is there any way Navision can do this?

There are several ways to set this up.

1. In the Sales Line discount table you can setup different % for certain periods (starting date, ending date) for certain items/itemdiscount groups vs. customer/customer discount groups.

2. You could also use a campaign for that. then you have also to setup discounts, but specifically for the campaign (same matrix). On the order you define the appropriate campaign...advanage is that you can report on this campaign, the amount of sales and discount that was made.

3. Manually change Line discounts...but that is open for mistakes.
