Could u explain what is purpose of
Date Compress Customer Ledger report
Date Compress Vendor Ledger report
Date Compress BOM Ledger report

Any cool explaination on these reports

Hi

This reports need from join some records from table indicated in report name and in depend tables to one record.

When you have tables with millions of records you might want to compress data to have fewer records.
These reports will simply group several records in a single or several records. Each of these reports will compress data to a specific table.

I could understand u r explanation theritically, But I could not understand practically.
Could u explain with one wonderful example.
Please take one example and explain on that.I am expecting some detail explanation

Here's An Example using customer ledger entries

Lets Say I have 1 customer that places and order every day for 1$.

At the end of the year he has 365 invoices for a total of $365.

If I wanted to I could date compress his entries (all 365) of them into one entry for the year (or month) or whatever you choose.

so instead of having 365 ledger entries all at 1$
the compression will show 1 entry with a total of $365.

Now that hard drive space is very cheap.
I assume this isn't being used that much, we don't use it here.

Also when you compress you lose details pertaining to each entry.
