Zup file in Roaming Profile

Hi folks!

There is a doubt that I don't know if you had at any time. I certainly haven't found anyghing on the web.

Is there a office with several boxes and the Roaming Profile activated in the network.

If you delete the fin.zup file from
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application data\
navision runs fine as long as you have the zup file in
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>.<network>\Application data
Navision will not create another zup file from the first folder and will save and retrieve the personal configuration of the user correctly. Now you would expect ( )
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>.<network>\Application data
To be the network version of the folder so that when you go to another computer you would delete the zup file from
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application data\
and the local client would use then the zup file in
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>.<network>\Application data
picking up that way all customer settings.

What happen though when in the second computer the folder
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>.<network>\Application data
does not exist? :(

The computer is registered in the domain! Should that folder be created manually? :? ( [-X )

I have to say that the first computer is a Server 2003 in a normal PC (only using terminal services) and the second is an XP 8-[

Any ideas ?

When using roaming profiles also use folder redirection to place the application data folder on a common network drive. This is a common practice when running terminal servers in a load-balancing cluster.
There are no bugs - only undocumented features.

Or you can use shortcut with parameter ID and enter some UNC path to some shared folder where you will save the zup files (you can use %username% for naming it etc...)
