When I open the Dev Toolkit up, nothing appears. I am able to sucessfully connect to my SQL Server DB and open my company within it without getting any errors (after copying the DLLs and slave.exe file over from the CFRONT directory). This DB was created from the backup.fdb file that gets installed along with the Navision 4.0 install. I also imported the DevTool.fob file as the installation instructions indicate. What did I miss?
Thanks,
GP

your installation developer toolkit folder.
You should create that database first, then open the database using
developer toolkit and then you can import object from your own db.

My next question is this: How do I get all the standard Navision objects into my new database? Restoring the DevTool.fbk only has a few objects in it, but I need things like an updated Salesperson/Purchaser table, for example, that integrate with my objects. When I try to Import a complete export with all objects I get an error stating that: "You do not have permission to create the 'Salesperson/Purchaser' Table." How do I import changes I've made to the "standard" Navision objects?
When you import standard navision objects. They have to fob, not txt files.

The key was doing the import/export as a .fob file instead of a .txt file. Once I used .fob, I was able to import everything successfully. Thank you for your help!
