RENAME FILE Before Import

Hallo,

my problem is very simple, but not the answer :-)

I get lots of csv-files with a timestamp.... but idon't know if i can import a file with changing filename automaticlly!?!?!?

Example: imp_deb_best_20061203120512.csv

and so on

can somebody help me??

You could use a no series, but you'd have to make sure the filenames keep in sync.

This works well for exporting files but I'm not sure how well it would work for importing.

Use system table file to search for files. Something like this:

recFile.RESET;
recFile.SETRANGE(Path,'c:\navision\');
recFile.SETFILTER(Name,'%1','imp_deb_best_*');
IF recFile.FIND('-') THEN
  REPEAT
    ...
  UNTIL recFile.NEXT = 0;

PS:if you later run this again, it is possible you have to do something like this:

recFile.RESET;
recFile.SETRANGE(Path,'c:\');
IF recFile.FIND('-') THEN ;

and then repeat the first statements.
