Setup :
MS SQL 2000 with SP4
MS SQL Server Analysis Services (updated with SP4)
SQLXML 3.0 SP3
MS SQL Server notification Services 2.0 SP1
Windows Server 2003 with SP1
Business Analytics modules from Navision 4.0 SP1 (42 pieces)

Problem:

After I Update XML from BA Database-Functions i will get error message -
"Error during initialization - Access violation at adress 004D etc. in module "BaConfigurator40.exe. Read of adress 0000xx etc."I tryed it from cmd with parameters -u (user, my user is with blank password), -d(database) (i tryed some others too - but final message was one)
"Error during initialization - Invalid XML"

Question :

What parameters i can give with BaConfigurator40.exe ? Where is this document ?

How i can run BaConfigurator40.exe so, that it works with my setup?

I have tryed all reinstallations and removes too.

There is no documentations for the options. You can analyse the code which is running the configurator in Navision, to see possible parameters and it is easy to find the meaning of them. You can remove the command which delete the batch file generated by Navision and you can play with this .bat file.

The error - what I know is only the reinstall (you wrote that you tried it). For me no more problems after reinstalling BA. If this is not solution, try to ask MS.

    Again.

    tx for response.
I solved it - this particular error was from wrong defination of cube.
But there are some other tips

    1. if u start configurator from cd - u license file must be in Navision client path and - that must be the only licence there (remove CRONUS for time)
    2. BU user must be administrator for computer
    3. It's recomended that u use 4.0 SP1 componets (BA) and in tabeles make merge existing -> to new, others replace

I have one problem left - if I start computer - ANTServer say's first, that he cant start, but after that it's starts.

May be that problem is, that ANTServer is starting before MS SQL and OLAP services? (it is only tip...)
