I think of 2 ways:
1) they change the key to key2. They search and after that they go back to key 1.
2) Create a global var, put it on the form as a textbox. In this field, they must put the search string. Put also a button to lauch the search near the field. In the button, put the key 2 key2, search and put the key back to key1.

Yes, but this workaround is not good if you need to have the form filtered to something what is not part of key2... in this case, you will have still problems with "counting the records..."
